Covid Safety Disclaimer
Bucks Academy of Music Ltd (in line with government guidelines) have put in covid safety protocols in an effort to make the environment as 'covid-safe' as possible for live sessions. Whilst we aim to eliminate as many elements of risk as possible, we cannot guarantee a 100% risk free enviroment. Attendees participating in events held by Bucks Academy of Music,  “social distancing” must be practiced and face coverings worn where possible to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19.  Bucks Academy of Music Ltd has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  However, Bucks Academy of Music Ltd attendees choose to attend at their own risk and must be prepared to accept any and all risks associated with and potentially resulting from participation. Please see our page on 'Covid-Safety' for further information.


N.B We are required by the government to provide every customer or visitor’s (over the age of 16) name and contact details to NHS Test and Trace if requested. We will display an official NHS QR code poster so that customers and visitors can ‘check in’ using our official NHS QR Code poster or alternatively, participants can check in with the NHS COVID-19 app. We will also hold details from booking form should they be needed for NHS track and trace.

Applicable Law
The terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contract shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Force Majeure
‘Force Majeure’ is deemed to cover war, fire, death, illness or other capacity certified by a properly qualified medical practitioner, epidemic, accident, civil commotion, national calamity, order of Government or Local Authority having jurisdiction in the matter, changes in law, foreign government policy, act of God, which are not attributable to any act or failure to take preventive action by Bucks Academy of Music Ltd or the client. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made we and you knew it might happen.

Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel the events (classes / courses / masterclasses / lessons etc) at any time before you and any child accompanying you attend the event for any reason whatsoever.  We shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expenses whatsoever arising from such cancellation.

We reserve the right to ask attendees and their accompanying children (if applicable) to leave the premises where the event is being held should we determine that the behaviour of any attendees / accompanying children is unacceptable.

Bucks Academy of Music Ltd reserves the right to change the class lead/performer/teacher at any time to be replaced with someone of equal standing in the profession.

 

Bucks Academy of Music / Classical Chat reserve the right to change the order/subject of their classes/courses at any time.

Bucks Academy of Music Ltd reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this agreement at any time.


Your responsibility
1 - As an attendee of Bucks Academy of Music Ltd events, you are required to comply with all health and safety rules/protocols which may be implemented at the venue where the event is being held.

2 - As an attendee of Bucks Academy of Music Ltd, you are required to take sole responsibility, care and control of the children (if applicable) that accompany you to our events. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for their welfare and conduct on site (venue/premises) throughout the entire duration of any Bucks Academy of Music Ltd being attended.

3 - You are solely responsible for your personal belongings and under no circumstance shall we have any liability to you for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of attending Bucks Academy of Music Ltd. Usual disclaimers about looking after your own valuables apply!

4 - You agree to compensate Bucks Academy of Music Ltdon demand for all loss, liability, costs and expenses which we may incur as a direct result of any act or omission by you or the children accompanying you.

5 - If you are not sure whether your child is well enough to attend, please seek professional medical advice from a GP etc prior to attending a class, as the staff at Bucks Academy of Music Ltd are not medically qualified to make this assessment. We will check attendee’s temperature on entry to the class venue. If an attendee displays a raised temperature, we will not be able to admit the attendees to the class. We kindly ask you not to attend our classes if:

- you or your children are unwell
- have any infectious/contagious diseases
- have any suspected symptoms of coronavirus: your household has a high temperature, a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste, a runny nose or sneezing or a new and continuous cough
– even if it’s mild (as per NHS/Government guidelines).

If an attendee or member of staff displays symptoms of the virus during the class, they must go home immediately.

If a participant or teacher develops Coronavirus before the class begins, they will not be able to attend until they have met self-isolation requirements or received a negative test result. Please notify us immediately if you have attended a class and then had a positive test result for Covid-19 as we have a duty to then inform attendees from the same class and customer contact details may be made available to the NHS track and trace central database if required by law.  We will ask you to specify contact details on our bookings form (for NHS track and trace purposes). If you are not the the normal attendee who brings the child(ren) to our classes, you will be required to fill out their contact detail on our booking form or notify us prior to the class by email.

Safe Guarding
Bucks Academy of Music Ltd staff are fully DBS checked. The founders of Bucks Academy of Music Ltd are both members of the Musicians' Union and/or ISM. Anna Stokes has completed the NSPCC's EduCare series of distance learning courses produced by the NSPCC and the Musicians Union, in partnership with Music Leader, and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
